About me

Many of you know me as the Head of Retirement Income at Skerritts or as the managing director of Spofforths Financial Planning. I started my new role as Director of Retirement Income Planning at Informed Choice (www.icfp.co.uk) on 12th November 2018.

The intention of this website is to write about my passions outside of my work – cycling and cake!

Louise and I moved to Chichester when I joined Spofforths back in 1999. Since then, we have been bringing up our family – Oliver, Felicity (and Sid) – here since then. We all love the sea, the South Downs and our small city.

I cycled a lot when I was young, but like so many, children and work got in the way from my mid-20s onwards. Louise bought me a yellow Claude Butler for my fortieth birthday, I joined SouthDown Velo a couple of years later, and have been cycling to justify my cake consumption since then.
